Terms and Conditions
Welcome to our Unconventional Limited (Trading as Unconventional Organisation) website. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.
1:1 Coaching
Fees:
Payment are made through our website. These payments recur weekly or biweekly, Depending on your coaching frequency, until you choose to stop using our coaching services. Coaching sessions cannot occur until fees have been received for each session.
Fees for the first session need to be paid at least 48 hours in advance.
Other services:
We will charge the same hourly rate for other professional services you may require. Other professional services may include reading or writing reports for employers, additional face-to-face or telephone conversations exceeding 10 minutes, attendance at meetings, and consultations with other professionals upon your request.
Litigation and Court Proceedings:
If you become involved in litigation that requires our participation, you will be expected to pay for our professional services, even if we are required to testify by another party. We charge USD$300 per hour for preparation and attendance at any legal proceedings.
Missed Appointments:
Please note that an appointment is considered confirmed once a payment plan has been set up online and we have agreed to a time either verbally or in writing. If you cannot attend a planned appointment, you must email admin@unconventionalorganisation.com to cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the planned time to qualify for a refund. If you fail to show up for a scheduled appointment, or do not cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance, the full fee will still apply.
Late or Missed Appointments:
Coaching sessions require time for a recap, discussion, investigation, followed up by collaborative problem-solving to establish a detailed and personalized plan. If you are over 20 minutes late for your session, we will be unable to accomplish these goals in the time remaining and your coach will mark the session as a no-show —note that your payment for the session will still apply in full.
Coaching versus Mental Health Professional:
Your rights are protected by the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights when you use our services, as per the laws of New Zealand. Our team at Unconventional Limited is well aware of your rights as a mental health patient as per Mental Health Act 1992 and will ensure your rights and well-being are protected when we provide our online coaching services to you. We also do want to clarify that our coaches are not mental health professionals, and in no way should be construed as one. We also clarify that the services provided by Unconventional Limited are online coaching services and, in no way should be construed as Telehealth Services. The purpose of a coach is to work with you using a problem-solving approach, to provide you with information, and make suggestions.
Your coach will not tell you what to do but will instead work alongside you, listen, and help you determine which strategies are most effective. They will provide advice and support as you learn how to manage your life with the systems that work best for you. You may experience anxiety or emotional discomfort while thinking about your ADHD or academic/work strategies during the coaching process. Your coach can help with identifying and talking through negative self-talk and positive alternatives. However, if you need additional mental health support, please contact a professional such as a counsellor, therapist, or clinical psychologist. If we determine you require additional assistance or you mention it during your sessions, we will be happy to refer you for further support. This can occur in combination with coaching or instead of coaching as you need.
Complaints:
If you have any complaints about your coach or our coaching services, please contact us via email at support@unconventionalorganisation.com or bring it up with your coach during a session. You can also contact your coach’s ADHD Coaching supervisor at skye@unconventionalorganisation.com with any concerns. They will be happy to talk with you to resolve any issues that come up or refer you to another coach or mental health professional at your request.
